Christian Domestic Discipline or Spanking Can Cause Emotional Damage:

Christian Domestic Discipline is the act of a husband spanking his wife when she disobeys him.

The following are the negative emotional effects of Christian Domestic Discipline: low self esteem, depression, masochism, psychological distress, and humiliation.

Christian Domestic Discipline can cause problems in the wife-husband relationship for the following reasons. Over time the wife will learn to distrust her husband. This man who is supposed to love her, hurts her both physically and emotionally.

Christian Domestic Discipline causes the wife to make decisions on her actions not on moral, ethical, or biblical reasons, but because of fears of reprisal. Things like will she get caught, will she get away with it, and how bad of a spanking will she get will dictate her actions. Things like morality, ethics, the Bible, God’s will, and compassion for another person, will not dictate her actions.

Being spanked like a disobedient slave, creates feelings of shame, embarrassment, isolation, depression, anger, and mistrust.

These are certainly not emotions most husband’s would want their wives to be feeling, yet those in Christian Domestic Discipline do.

Christian Domestic Discipline IS abuse.

And it needs to stop.
