Christian Domestic Discipline Can be Spiritually Harmful to the Husband:

Romans 6:14 says “For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.”

Yet a Christian Domestic Discipline relationships revolves around just that “sin”. The wives sin is looked for, and punished. Sin and punishment of sin is her master. It’s what controls her husbands actions towards her.

The Husband completely forgets that his wife is under grace and that her sin is already forgive for what Jesus does on the cross.

By spanking his wife the husband endangers her life. He is putting her at risk for Sciatica and Cellulitis. Both are caused by injury to the skin, and both can be life threatening.

1 Corinitiahs 6:19 says “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is you, whom you have received from God? You are not your won you were bought at a price. Therefore, honour God with your body.”

This is not how a wife’s body should be treated. The husband should treat her body as a temple, not as a whipping post to be physcially endangered.

By willfully sinning (causing such pain to his wife) the husband is sinning. Not only that, but he is sinning “in the name of God”, and this is wrong. This is what God meant when he gave Moses the 10 Comandments. Commandment number 3 is in Exodus 20:7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.”

By willfully missusing God’s name in vein, and by willifully damaging his wife both phsycally, emotionally, and spiritually, the husband is in danger of spititual death. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in, Christ Jesus our Lord.”
