Christian Domestic Discipline Bible Study – Part 3 of 8: Love

Christian Domestic Discipline Bible Study – Part 3 of 8: Love

To get the full benefit of this bible study you should actually answer the questions in this Bible Study.  Write the answers down or type them out.  Think about them.

“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”  1 John 4:8

If a husband does not love his wife, does he know God?

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a “Love is patience, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record or wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.”

Write on a piece of paper everything the above verses say love is.  Beside those words, write if you think spanking embodies them.  Is spanking patient, or kind?  If you are in a CDD relationship, also write down if the husband in your marriage is being all these things when he spanks the wife and when he doesn’t.  Be honest.

1 John 4:12 “No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”

What does this verse mean to you?
