1 John 4:18a “There is no fear in love.” Is there fear in spanking?  Does a wife fear being spanked when she does wrong?

1 John 4:18b “But perfect love drives out fear.” Is there fear in a spanking relationships?  CDD claims that spanking is perfect love.  Is it really?

1 John 4:18b2 “because fear has to do with punishment.” If perfect love drives out fear and fear has to do with punishment, is punishment part of a loving relationship? Is there fear and punishment in your relationship?  Has the love driven out fear in your relationship?  Why or why not is there fear in your relationship?
