Does your relationship follow this cycle?
1.) Spanking
2.) The husband tells his wife why she deserved the spanking.
3.) The marriage improves. Everything seems wonderful and the husband is very loving to the wife.
4.) The husband watches the wife very closely looking for any reasons to spank her.
5.) Spanking
If you are in a Christian Domestic Discipline relationship, and you find that your marriage follows the above cycle, then you are in an abusive relationship. I took that cycle from the “cycle of violence” which is well known to those who are familiar with Domestic Abuse. I just adapted it, putting in spanking instead of beating. Does the person you love…
- Threaten to hurt you or your children?
- Say it’s your fault if he or she hits you?
- Puts you down in public or keep you from contacting family or friends?
- Throw you down, push, hit, choke, kick, slap you?
- Force you to have sex when you don’t want to?
Just one “yes” answer means you’re involved in an abusive relationship. If so, you’re not alone and you have choices.
No one deserves to be abused.
