Do Mormon’s Spank?

In my research for this blog I have found things I didn’t want to find, found things I did want to find, and found things that I wasn’t looking for, but was still intriguing.

One of the latter group surrounds Mormons and spanking. Some websites that are anti-spanking say Mormons don’t spank their children (nopaddle.com for one), but when I searched this out I couldn’t find any evidence for or against this on the two Mormon websites I went to (lds.org and mormon.org).

Not being a Mormon I don’t know. I’d like your opinion on it.  What do you think?  If you are a Mormon, can you clear up my curiosity about this?

Note: 

I know that some Christians believe that Mormonism is a cult.  I don’t want to get into that whole debate right now.  I will tell you that I am a Christian, because Jesus has saved me from my sins by dieing on the cross.  The point of the blog at this time is Christian Domestic Discipline, not what is a cult and what isn’t a cult.
