Three Stories of Gifts:

Three Stories of Gifts:

.

A man buys a very expensive diamond necklace for his wife.  Even though the man paid cash, and paid in full, the wife goes back to the store and gives them money equaling the price of the necklace.

A woman buys a new shirt for her father.  It is a very nice shirt and it cost a lot of money.  She paid the full amount for the shirt before giving it to her father.  Her father sends the store a cheque for his shirt.

Jesus saw that the world needed the penalty for sin to be paid.  He lived on earth, taught the masses, and preformed miracles before paying the debt in full.  He paid the debt of all the sins of everybody on earth by dieing a very painful death on the cross, and raising again to triumph over death.  The debt was paid in full.  A woman realizes this, falls in love with God, gives her life for Jesus and accepts this payment.  All of her sins are forgiven.  She lives by grace.  She then gets married, and her husband demands she no longer lives by grace.  Instead he demands that she pay for her sins, by being spanked.

Why would any of these people pay for something that somebody else has already paid for.

The third story doesn’t make any more sense than the first two stories.

The people in the third story are insulting Jesus, by telling he didn’t do a good enough job paying for our sins.

Do you really want to insult Jesus?
